Caminito Del Rey

Caminito del Rey is an aerial trail built in the walls of the Gaitanes gorge. It is a path terraced onto the gorge with a length of 3km in long sections and a width of barely 1 metre. The trail begins in the municipality of Ardales, goes through Antequera, and ends in El Chorro (Álora).This path is hanging on the vertical gorge walls around 100 metres above the river.

El Torcal de Antequera

El Torcal park and the protected EL Torcal Natural Area is known for it’s unusual limestone rock formations. Located about 30 km north of Málaga city in the direction of Antequera near the village of Villanueva de la Concepción, within El Torcal Park’s 17 square km are some of the most beautiful and impressive limestone landscapes in Europe. The whole area was under sea until one hundred million years ago.

The typical white village of Álora, enjoys a privileged location in the magical Guadalhorce Valley. The surrounding landscape is full of orchards, fragrant citrus trees and vegetable gardens. The rolling mountains of Sierra de Huma and the Sierra de Aguas form the backdrop. Álora possesses a unique charm, which is reflected in its Arabic features, the steep slopes with cobbled streets and the ruins of a beautiful castle. It dominates from a hilltop and is the symbol of the city.
